What is Infrared Thermal Imaging ?

Infrared is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, between visible light and microwave energy.

The shorter wave length, “near infrared”, we use for remote controls. The longer, “far infrared” waves are thermal, in other words we experience this type of energy as heat. The heat that you feel from a fire or a warm sidewalk after a sunny day is infrared radiation.
